To every trademark application filed, USPTO issues an unique serial No. To keep track of particular pending application, we should keep on checking periodically the current status of the application with the USPTO records by using its Serial no. or we can do it so by searching through the trademark name also.

Also while applying for a trademark if you have provided your email ID or correspondence address with the application and has authorized to communicate with you. It will send the documents and status as they are issued.

Can anyone comment on whether it is worth it or not to file in Japan, China, Korea etc, from the enforcement and cost perspective?  I have heard that it is very difficult to enforce registered marks in some of the countries over there.

What other service would you like to see in a trademark docketing and monitoring service aside from:

  • Docketing engine with 4 reminders for every action at the USPTO
  • Similar trademark application and registration review
  • Similar domain name review
  • Search engine textual advertising review
  • TTAB item docketing

If I wanted to find out how many TM a person had worldwide, where can I find that information?  For free.

I see the US has the USPTO database and the Madrid protocol has a database.    But what about countries that do not belong?  Do they have their own?
